Antinal suspension is a widely used intestinal antiseptic in Egypt, primarily indicated for the treatment of acute diarrhea caused by susceptible microorganisms. Its active ingredient, Nifuroxazide, acts locally within the gastrointestinal tract to inhibit the growth of bacteria responsible for infectious diarrhea. Unlike systemic antibiotics, it is poorly absorbed from the gut, which minimizes systemic side effects.
