Andoceptive is an oral contraceptive pill containing a combination of two active hormones: Ethinylestradiol (30mcg) and Gestodene (75mcg). It is used primarily to prevent pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation, altering cervical mucus to prevent sperm penetration, and modifying the endometrium to reduce the likelihood of implantation. This low-dose combined oral contraceptive pill is highly effective when taken consistently and at the same time each day.
