Actrapid Penfill is a fast-acting human insulin (neutral insulin) used to treat diabetes mellitus. It is a sterile solution containing soluble insulin, which begins to lower your blood sugar about 30 minutes after injection, with the maximum effect occurring between 1 and 3 hours, and a duration of action lasting for approximately 8 hours. It is designed for use with Novo Nordisk insulin delivery systems (Penfill cartridges) to help control high blood sugar levels in adults, adolescents, and children with diabetes.
