Livial contains Tibolone, a synthetic steroid that acts similarly to the body's natural hormones. It is primarily prescribed for the treatment of estrogen deficiency symptoms in postmenopausal women who have not had a period for at least 12 months. Livial helps alleviate symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats while also being used for the prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at high risk of future fractures. It is a hormone replacement therapy (HRT) medication that should only be used under strict medical supervision.
