Cholerose Plus is a prescription lipid-lowering medication combining Rosuvastatin 20 mg and Ezetimibe 10 mg. Rosuvastatin works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase to reduce hepatic cholesterol synthesis, while Ezetimibe inhibits the absorption of cholesterol in the small intestine. This dual mechanism of action effectively lowers elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), total cholesterol, and triglycerides, while increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). It is indicated for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed hyperlipidemia who require intensive lipid-lowering therapy.
