Valsatens Plus is a combination prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It contains two active ingredients: Valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that helps relax blood vessels, and Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps the body get rid of extra salt and water. Together, they work effectively to lower blood pressure, reducing the risk of fatal and nonfatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and heart attacks. Lowering high blood pressure also helps decrease the risk of kidney problems.
