Imodium 2mg contains loperamide, an anti-diarrheal medicine used to relieve sudden (acute) and long-term (chronic) diarrhea in adults, including travelers diarrhea. It works by slowing down gut movement, allowing more time for water absorption from the bowel and reducing the frequency of loose stools. It does not treat the underlying cause of diarrhea and should be used alongside oral rehydration where needed.
